Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, the production of punch is more and more rapid and efficient. Besides the convenience and wealth of punch, we must pay attention to the standard in operation to ensure the safety of life.

The root cause of punch accident is the lack of necessary protective devices and equipment, and the lack of reasonable labor protection for the risk process of operation. The technical reason leading to the damage accident of punch press is that the operator's action is out of balance with the operation of the machine tool.

Press accidents are often caused by the following reasons:

(1) Punch operator mental fatigue, attention is not focused, there are errors;

(2) The structure of the mold is unreasonable, the operation is miscellaneous, and the operator's arm stays in the mold area for too long;

(3) When the operator's arm does not leave the mold area, the slider is activated;

(4) When many people working on the closed test punch press, they should step on the start switch to control the travel along the block, and the coordination between hands and feet is not good;

(5) When many people work in closed test punch, the supervisor controls the slide stroke, and does not take good care of other operators;

(6) When adjusting the mold, the machine tool motor did not stop, because the operation for other reasons suddenly started;

(7) The common faults of mechanical equipment and household appliances occurred in punch press, and the sliding block was out of control.

It is also likely that there are management reasons for the punch press accident, mainly due to the imperfect safety system, which is easy to happen in the following situations.

(1) Production and operation staff have not been trained to meet the standard on the machine operation;

(2) Illegal operation in punch production;

(3) The press itself has no safety device;

(4) Repair the press equipment in case of damage;

(5) There are safety devices but they are not activated.
